Sec 1D & 1MM (Day One): Sun, Sand & Sea!

Today, Secondary 1D and 1MM kickstarted their EFL journey by heading to East Coast Park for sandcastle building. The sky was slightly overcast when we arrived and there was a slight drizzle halfway, but the weather was in our favour in general.

The students listening attentively to the facilitator's instructions on the activity lineup.

Live demonstration on sandcastle building by other facilitators.

Some of our students happily fetching a pail of water for their team.

And the sandcastle building begins! In order to ensure that the base is solid and stable, water needs to be added while sand is being piled up.

Our girls hard at work.

1D girls being very focused on their task at hand.

Can you spot a train in the making?

After dinner, Secondary 1 Normal Academic and Normal Technical students had a 'Chat With Dad', whereby 4 guests (who are all dads) were invited to share their experiences on being a father.

There was also a Q&A session after. The dads answered questions from the floor and students were able to gain some insight on some of the expectations that dads have.

Stay tuned for updates tomorrow as we continue our EFL journey!
